Nemonoxacin-d₃ is the deuterium labeled Nemonoxacin. Nemonoxacin (TG-873870) is an orally active and potent broad-spectrum antibiotic. Nemonoxacin shows good inhibitory activity against different species of staphylococci, streptococci, and enterococci, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Haemophilus influenza. Nemonoxacin can be used in the study of bacterial infections and community-acquired pneumonia.

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[4].
