体外研究 (In Vitro)	EtS-DMAB can selectively detect hypochlorous acid (HOCl) over other reactive oxygen species in aqueous solution with a large stokes shift (～170 nm). It turns out that oxidation of the thioether to the corresponding sulfoxide accounts for the turn-on fluorescence. XIYU has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods.
