Zingiberene (α-Zingiberene) is a monocyclic sesquiterpene which is the predominant constituent of ginger with oil content (Zingiber officinale). Neuroprotective potential. Zingiberene triggers autophagy. Anticancer activity.

体外研究

Zingiberene (6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 μg/mL; 24 hours) attenuates hydrogen peroxide-induced toxicity in neuronal cells.
Zingiberene (0, 10, 20 and 40 µM; 24 hours) considerably inhibits the proliferation of Colon cancer (CC) cells.
