L-873724 is a potent, orally bioavailable, selective and reversible non-basic cathepsin K inhibitor, with IC₅₀s of 0.2, 178, 264, and 5239 nM for cathepsin K, cathepsin S, cathepsin L, cathepsin B, respectively. L-873724 also exhibits an IC₅₀ of 0.5 nM for rabbit cathepsin K. L-873724 inhibits bone resorption.

L-873724 also shows IC₅₀s of 95, 1221 and 4807 nM for Ramos cathepsin S, Hep G2 cathepsin L, Hep G2 cathepsin B. L-873724 exhibits an IC₅₀ of 0.5 nM for rabbit cathepsin K.

Solubility: ≥ 2.5 mg/mL (5.19 mM); Clear solution

此方案可获得 ≥ 2.5 mg/mL (5.19 mM，饱和度未知) 的澄清溶液。
以 1 mL 工作液为例，取 100 μL 25.0 mg/mL 的澄清 DMSO 储备液加到 400 μL PEG300 中，混合均匀；向上述体系中加入50 μL Tween-80，混合均匀；然后继续加入 450 μL生理盐水定容至 1 mL。
