Animal Model: Time-mated pregnant C57BL/6 wild-type mice; B6.129-Tlr2tm1Kir/J (TLR2 -deficient) mice Dosage: 5 mg/kg Administration: Intraperitoneally (i.p.); once a day for 9 days Result: After repeated administration from postnatal day (PND3) to PND11, brain weight was decreased compared with endotoxin-free saline-treated animals at PND12. Decreased volume of cerebral gray matter, white matter in the forebrain and cerebellar molecular layer that was accompanied by an increase in spleen and liver weight at PND12.
