5-desmethylsinensetin, isolated from Artemisia princeps , possesses antiprotozoal activity. 5-desmethylsinensetin shows IC₅₀ values of 0.4 μg/mL on T. cruzi epimastigotes and 75.1 μg/mL on trypomastigotes, respectively.
