Buforin II，来源于 buforin I，从亚洲蟾蜍 Bufo bufo gargarizans 胃中分离得到的蛋白，是一种高效的抗菌 (antimicrobial) 肽。Buforin II 对广谱的革兰氏阳性和革兰氏阴性细菌具有抗菌活性。

生物活性

Buforin II, derived from buforin I, a protein isolated from the stomach of the Asian toad Bufo bufo gargarizans, is a potent antimicrobial peptide. Buforin II has antimicrobial activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

体外研究

Buforin II inhibits A. baumanniiATCC 19606 and multiresistant strains with the similar MIC values of 8 mg/L.

Buforin II (intravenously a single dose, 1 mg/kg) has potent antibacterial activity that effectively reduces lethality and leads to a significant reduction in plasma endotoxin and cytokine concentrations in male Wistar rat model of sepsis.
