生物活性

Asukamycin, a manumycin-type metabolite, could be isolated from Streptomyces nodosus subsp. asukaensis. Asukamycin is an antibiotic and has antimicrobial activity. Asukamycin inhibits growth of various tumor cell lines.

体外研究

Asukamycin (1-50 μM; 24 h) 以浓度依赖的方式降低五种不同人类细胞系的活力，其 IC₅₀ 值为 1-5 μM。
Asukamycin (50 μM; 24 and 72 h; THP-1 细胞) 导致细胞内 caspase 8 和 caspase 3 活性显著增加。
Asukamycin (0-100 mcg/mL; 细菌, 18 h; 真菌, 72 h) 具有抗菌活性。Asukamycin 在 0.78-12.5 mcg/mL 的浓度范围内抑制革兰氏阳性菌的生长，在 25 mcg/mL 的浓度范围内抑制 Trichophyton mentagrophytes 的生长。
